Taking the next step beyond a traditional software suite or an on-site enterprise solution can help savvy CFOs manage complexity, increase efficiency and drive business growth. However, upgrading to a new accounting software package can be a daunting task for mid-sized businesses. Today, accounting software requires customization in order to achieve desirable results as well as create new strategic business opportunities, without being purchasing a source code license. “We create the customizations the client needs without purchasing a source code license and modifying the source code,” says David Dierke, President and CEO of AccountMate.

With over three decades of expertise in developing accounting software, AccountMate develops and markets fully modifiable business accounting software to help businesses make the upgrade from on-site software-based accounting systems to robust, customizable cloud accounting software. This helps users to automate, organize, and integrate typical financial transactions, helping a business run more smoothly every day.

AccountMate comprises of two versions: AccountMate Enterprise 2016 and AccountMate Enterprise 2016 Express. AccountMate Enterprise 2016 is specifically designed to accommodate hundreds of concurrent users, whereas AccountMate Express accommodates up to five concurrent users. Users can customize the AccountMate products to fit their business processes and adapt as the business grows.

Both the products offer an identical user-interface, the same ease of use, number of modules—Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, Consolidated Ledger General Ledger System Manager and are extendable as well as source code modifiable. It takes advantage of the speed of client/server technology and the latest productivity-enhancing tools in Microsoft’s suite of products to help clients better manage their business.

With the firm’s Accounts Payable module, users can get rid of duplicate invoices and late payments by simplifying the payment process and allowing users to post credit card payments or issue checks directly after an invoice is recorded. Further the sales order; return merchandise authorization, pricing control, upsell management and sales configuration modules integrate with AccountMate’s Account Receivables module to create a complete order entry, customer returns, billing and receivables system. This delivers superior customer and inventory management.

The firm also allows users to keep a track of miscellaneous disbursements, receipts and bank transfers—significantly enhancing their ability to manage their vendor base and cash-flow.

All AccountMate’s modules integrate seamlessly, with no complicated routines—required to get a real-time understanding of the financial picture of the organization. The modules comprises of a SQL-based database server to optimize the performance among users, as it has advantages over traditional LAN-based systems through its fault-tolerant system—all reading and writing of data files occur on the server under controlled conditions.

From manufacturing and distribution to e-commerce and non-profits, AccountMate’s products can be customized for virtually any business. For instance, Preferred Credit, a finance provider to one of the largest direct sales distributorships in the world, was critically challenged with their accounting software—leading to payment issues. “We wanted an accounting software package that could be modified to fit our unique business needs,” says Jim Schwan Director of Information Technology, Preferred Credit. As a result the client implemented AccountMate SQL due to the program’s scalability and open architecture to meet their complex business requirements. Dierke strongly feels that, “This SaaS model further reinforces AccountMate's commitment for clients to more easily meet the f luctuating demands of running their businesses."

AccountMate Cloud computing is a viable option for those who decide that a remote access strategy is more practical than having an on-premise business financial suite. With AccountMate Cloud, you can focus on your core business rather than worrying about the overhead of running a data center. The financial systems are housed in a secure environment and can be accessed 24/7.

Forging ahead, “Our policy of incorporating impressive enhancements continues. It is evident in a number of the new features in the latest built update of AccountMate for SQL and Express,” concludes Dierke.
